i had no rattle with the stock or the steeda one. And yes its easier than the steeda since its the whole assembly, dont need to transfer anything.

I got mine from rpmoutlet for 189 + 9 handling. I love mine. Took about a month for it to 'break in'. At first the shifts were very hard, much shorter, to get an idea what this is like, try to shift gripping the shaft of the shifter below the ****. Now it's great. I don't go to the track or anything, but when I do accelerate hard, i can powershift with the best of them. Installation is a snap, just make sure you have enough extenders for your rachet set, I had to use 3 to get at the rear mount bolts.

As for rattle, my stock one rattled, the Hurst is silent comparatively speaking.

My Hurst is fantastic. MUCH better than the stock shifter, looks cool, and no rattle at all.

I finally got around to installing the Hurst shifter I bought a while ago this past Saturday. The instructions are pretty spot on, and the whole installation went pretty smoothly. The whole process took about an hour and a half, but shouldnt have taken even that long. The only problem I ran into was getting the old shifter out. I refused to drop the driveshaft, and the back rod on the stock shifter that is used for mounting underneath the car was too long to fit through the hole.. as a result I had to take a dremel and shave off about an 1/8" from the hole to get it out. Other than that it was smooth sailing.
I love the feel of the shifter so far. Its pretty fricken amazing. Its short, crisp, and precise. Pretty much the way it should come from the factory. For anyone curious, I purchased the shifter for $189 shipped from Brenspeed off Ebay.

Man I love the look of the Hurst. It is definetly on the list. The stock throw is just so long. Hopefully one day I'll join the v6 Hurst club.
