finally got the whobockins to cut the d/s bumper out today, so that's all done and ready for the driver side pipe and muffler to be installed, now a question for those that added the H pipe

on our cars where the Y comes together, will the H have to be installed exactly in that same position as where the Y was, or does it not matter if it's more forward towards the engine, or more towards the rear...any thoughts on this

my muffler shop will be making the cuts and building the H pipe

It doesn't really matter, it gets more inefficient the more to the rear it gets however.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be in the exact same spot as the y-pipe. Mine is pretty far forward, around the spot of the front seats I'd say. Stick it as far forward you can get it and it will have more of an affect.

To be honest there's not a whole lot of area the H could go. After the pipes come off the cats and go in together the H is installed. This will end up being right before the junction with the over-the-axle pipes. So, I think there is less than a foot of length where the H can go, so it really is not going to matter.
