Bars and Tunes
Well, I got my front and rear anti-sway bars installed. They make a HUGE difference in the handling. They should have put a rear bar on these from the factory. It handles so much better now. It's perfectly flat in the turns and is much more solid than before. A very good mod to make. The rear was from Progess Auto and the front was a GT take off from Saleen. First let me say that I have to agree with others here that Saleen is HORRIBLE to deal with from a customer service standpoint. I know I was only buying a $30 part and I'm nothing to them but I'm in retail and a customer is a customer. I guess the aggravation was worth it for the deal I got on the bar but they will never get any more of my business if I can help it. That said, let me state that putting on the rear bar was more of a job than it had to be. I did it myself on the ground. It is not difficult but it is a pain in the donkey if you don't have a lift. I would highly suggest anyone doing this raise the car up as high as possible on jack stands and remove the wheels. It will make it ten times easier and quicker. After that I had my buddy who owns a shop do the front for me. It was worth the $40 he charged me to not have to crawl around on the ground. I've included a pic of the rear installed. Didn't take one of the front. I know, my bad.
As far as the tunes part, I just got some updated tunes from Doug and he's topped himself again. This time he sent me the Live Load files so I could unlock the optional parameters on the X-cal2. That is really neat cause you can adjust spark, shift points, top speed limiter, gear ratio and wheel size yourself if you know what you're doing which I don't so I left spark and that stuff alone! But anyway, this last set of tunes is really great. Even better than the original sets he sent. The tires light up from a stand still and even if you're being careful you still chirp them with the performance tune. The torque tune really hooks up the rear end and it pulls so much better than before. I was amazed after I got the first set of tunes but this new set is even better! Way to go Doug!
Well, now I have to come up with another mod to do cause I've done everything on my list for now. Maybe I'll do some interior appearance stuff for a change. This is turning into a novel so I'll add the pic of the rear bar and call it a night. Later!

Yeah I know I should think about duals. I know it would improve the sound. I've already got the driver's side GT muffler (had to buy the pair when I got them) so all I would need is the plumbing, but I've been following the debate and I'm not totally convinced it will help performance all that much. I've already got JBA headers, one of my first mods.
I would think for the money that an underdrive pulley would be a better choice for HP gains, right?

You should also consider the MRT muffler for single or dual, I may put them on my dual setup at some point. For pulleys, talk to Scrming, but I think he reccomends the PHP Alt. Pulley.

The problem I had was with the attitude I got from them when there was a problem with the shipping address. Their shipping department put the wrong shipping address on and they gave me a very hard time about it when I called them to get it resolved. I had to call three times because the first person never called me back on it like I was told. Then the second guy did the same thing. Each time they said they would look in to it and call me back in 1/2 hour. They were very rude and questioned me about how I found out the shipping address was wrong. The guy was like, "How do you know it's wrong? Where did you find that out?" I had to explain to him that they (Saleen) gave me the tracking number and when I looked it up I saw it was the wrong address and called Fed Ex and they confirmed it. Then Fed Ex said to call the shipper and have them call Fed Ex to change it and they would be able to redeliver it to me without it going to the wrong place or back to Saleen. When I told the guy at Saleen this he said, "We can't do that. They don't do that." I said , yes they do they just told me this. Again he said, I'll look into it and call you back in 1/2 hour. Two hours later I got a call saying they had called Fed Ex.
I did get my bar but I did not like being treated like poo. I know I was only buying a $30 part not a $30,000 car but I'm still a customer. I'm happy with the product and the price but they need to learn how to treat people. At least the guys I dealt with do.

Yeah, I PM'd him about the PHP Alt. pulley and I was thinking about it also. Would it work with an underdrive pulley too?
I'm torn between pulleys and exhaust but right now I don't have any cash anyway so whatever it is will have to wait.

Yep... Fazm is 100% correct... if you want to do a pulley (for 3 to 5RWHP gain) go with the PHP alternator pulley... I've had numerous "issues" with my ASP crank pulley:
1) HP gains are going to be in the 3 to 5 range... we seen 0 gain when we added it... this I believe is because we already had the PHP on... so the assumption is the ASP would result in similar gains if the PHP wasn't there..
2) Running both pulley is not good... car was DEAD on the dyno! LOL!
3) ASP doesn't even bother to find the right belt.... 86 is too long...
4) The long belt screwed up my new painted alt cover... I'm still steaming over this!!! LOL!
So the PHP pulley nets the same gains, is a lot cheaper, a lot easier to install and should be a lot safer... Now 05V6 has had his ASP pulley on and is very happy with it... soooooo... take it for what it's worth... LOL

I have been planning to go back to the dyno since getting updated tunes so I'll probly do that and then get the PHP and go back again to compare but it might be a couple months till I get cash again.
Did you have to leave your alt. cover off? I saw you had it painted to match the body color and it looks nice but the picture looked like the stock alt. pulley.
