Well, I decided to put the single GT muffler on the stang until I get the remaining parts for the full dual/X-over mod.

Here are 3 video clips:

stock V6 muffler http://www.savefile.com/files/8917556

V6 with NO muffler http://www.savefile.com/files/9606842

V6 with single GT takeoff muffer http://www.savefile.com/files/5376913

I like the first one when the exhaust fogs up the camera lens

To my ears, I'd say this: The GT muffler sounds like the V6, but only there's "more of it"...so it's louder to the ears and pleasant, too.

Can't wait to get the driver's side done!!

If the place you go does as good as job as the guy's that did Paul D's (delz05) GT takeoff system, I think you'll be pretty happy. You should consider posting "after" clips when it's done.

Good to hear a back to back clip, with the same hardware. Sounds awesome.
And that no muffler was freakin great.

Yeah, the no exhaust was pretty dang loud.

I'll do the same type video deal when I get the second pipe/muffler/X-pipe installed...will be a week or two I'm sure. Waiting on parts!

Thanks for posting those movies! I ordered two GT takeoffs based on the difference I heard. It sounds 100% better.

You're welcome! Glad they helped you hear the difference...I like the sound of the single---can't wait to have the duals

Thanks go to afixer for giving all the details and to P_Kiley for some more pointers, too.

Wow. Glad to know I'm not the only exhaust-geek out there.
