How long to get build date and VIN after order

for me it took a while. i placed my order in may, got my dora in june, i believe. then a week or two later i went back and had a VIN. i think if you recently ordered, you should be able to get a VIN fairly quickly.
after all, it is getting very close.

Apparently it also depends on your dealer and how they placed the order. My dealer only has limited allocation for this car so when they put the order into the computer they still had about 2 weeks to wait before Ford pulled the order at the dealer's next available slot.
