Hey guys, I have a 2026 GT Mustang with 385 miles on it.
Base car with active exhaust, 10r80, 3:15s anx 255s square on what appears to be some sort of brembos? It was my 20th anniversary gift from my wife. And I know nothing about these new s650s, at all!
Backstory-
I built a 17gt with manual into an absolute monster and had to sell my baby, it was my retirement gift to myself when I retired from service in 2016 buf 4 short years later, it had to go to move us across country.
So my wife bought me this 2026 GT last weekend for me for our 20th anniversary and I think its a great car. So onto the questions-
It feels WAY umm, snappier than my tuned 17gt did. Is this due to the a10 in it and its tuning?
What brakes are these exactly? How do they compare to s550 gen brakes? (Or for giggles how do they run against say s197? Furthermore can I track the car eith them or do I need to upgrade before track use?
How much of the S550 suspension parts are compatible and what is a good idea versus not in terms of suspension mods?
Any good advice for the break in period?
Lastly, if you made it this far, thank you for reading. For myself this is Mustang #8 for me (having owned every gen except for Mustang II) and feels a bit like a grown up s550 of sorts if that nakes sense.
