brakes and rotors

So the other day i was doing some datalogging and i had to get over 7000 rpm, when i went to slow down, i started hitting the brakes and the steering wheel started to shake a bit and the brakes were hesistant to slow down the car. i also had a burning smell coming from them as well.
this is the first time this has happened.
i datalogged the other day and had no issue slowing down
the last time i checked the pads and rotors they were fine, so i have no idea what is going on.
does anybody have an idea what could possible cause that? maybe its warped where i didnt feel it?

Did you do more than one speed up/slow down cycle?

If you did it could just be that you over heated the pads. They loose grip when they get over 800 degrees or so, and can transfer material to the rotor. Which could be why you felt the shaking.

Also did it go away after the brakes cooled of?

That was the first one of that day. The rest of the time was regular driving. It was just strange that it didn't do it the other night. Was really scary bc I didn't know if I would be able to stop or not
no the smell went away after 10 min or so

hmm, I guess maybe you had some pad deposits from the day before? Unusual for this to happen first thing in the day. Hope it sorted itself out after a while. Fade is never a good thing.
