New GT/CS Owner - No More BMW!
Hi guys - FNG in North Carolina here and I'm happy to be back in the ranks of GT 5.0 Ownership. Saturday I traded in my turbo-lagged 2012 BMW 535i for a pristine black/black 2014 California Special w/6-speed manual xmission. As you probably know - this car is off-the-charts amazing and I am THRILLED with it. In addition to being loaded up w/options like NAV, heated seats, etc., it also has the Boss 302 Quad exhaust system coupled with the FORD Factory GT500 quad-tipped axle back package, a 3:73 rear end, FORD Racing Suspension, a BBK high flow Cold Air intake, and a corresponding recent dyno tune to boot. My guess is I have somewhere around 440hp w/this setup. The sound of this exhaust/CAI/tune combo is absolutely amazing - and I'm drunk with the power. Happy to be here and will post some pics soon.

Ok - I just snapped a few pics in the twilight - lets see if I can figure out how to upload them. I'll get an audio clip of the exhaust note for you soon as well - but not today. The last pic is the projection on the ground when you unlock the doors - that's a nice touch!

Nice ride! My Mustang puts a smile on my face everyday I drive it. When I think of if there are other cars I might want instead of it, you would really have to move way up in price to find one. There are quite a few more expensive, "nicer" cars out there but I'd rather have my GT.

Any other Raleigh/Durham area owners? Cars-and-Coffee goers?

Thanks everyone for the great reception and comments. The stripes on this are far from white -at best they are a grey/silverish tone - subtle on the black but hard to capture on a Blackberry camera! I like this car more every day and I think it's quite rare - can't find another like it for sale anywhere w/Nav, Tech pak, heated seats, 3:73 6mt etc.... I was driving Bimmers for 16 years - still have an '02 540i (V8) BMW Wagon as my daily/utility vehicle (you can see it in the first photo) - but even at my age (50~ish) this is still more my style/speed/feel. My first new car ever was a 1985 Red Mustang GT w/a Holley 650 4bbl - and I loved that - kept it for over 10 years. This '14 GT/CS brings me back!

Congrats & good luck with it! I have the same car/color and love it. Here's a pic. I switched my tri bar to the other side and took the hood spears off. I agree with the previous post... Yours definitely looks slightly lower than stock.

YES! You guys have great eyes - the suspension is not stock and is slightly lower. One ride in it will tell you that also - it is the Ford Racing Suspension. All the mods were done w/genuine Ford Parts so the Warranty is still valid in every way. Specifically - the FORD M5300K progressive Springs kit with a M4264A adjustable Panhard bar w/urethane bushings on the rear axle to re-center it and eliminate sway.
