My OD off light is blinking constantly

My OD off light is blinking constantly
Started doing it today any ideas why it might be doing that. It also seems to clunk into all gears now. Everything seems tight u joint wise.

The OD light blinking is a code for transmission problems. Take the car to a Ford dealer that you trust and they can read the codes. It could be just a solenoid problem or it may be something worse but you need to get it checked out.

sooooo I picked the car up from service and the guy tells me two fault codes come up
pp798 Pressure Control Solenoid "C" Electrical
po791 Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit
can't find anything on the net about these codes. Please help lol He tells me it has an internal problem. Daaaaaaaa I could have told him that lol

Replaced the solenoid pack 420 bucks for the parts. Total for the whole job 561.00 bucks included filter and fluid. The guy at the trans shop said it was a common problem with the fords. Pretty easy fix, drop the trans pan remove the filter and you will see the sol pack. Remove a few bore bolts remove bad part and reinstall new parts.
Shifts smooth as butter now.

You should take it to a reputable transmission shop. You might consider one that’s an ATRA member. The blinking O/D light is like a check engine light for the transmission. You need to have them pull the codes and see what that shows.
