Where do owners talk about Mustangs these days?

I'm sure this site will be gone soon with the lack of activity but where do Mustang owners talk about their cars besides the social media sites?? I don't belong to any, except these car forums, so I'm afraid I might be out of luck except at the car shows I attend each year.
I appreciate the few guys still hanging around here.

I am right there with you. This is my favorite site, but many have left in the recent years. I too do not want to be part of the social media sites. Being a member of the tech industry, I do not trust them.

Sites I look to are Mustang Evolution, S197 Forum, Mustang Forum, SVT Performance, Corral.net, Ford GT500, GT350.org, S550 sites and a few others. Don’t contribute much to the other sites, just pretty much stay on the sidelines on these.

Hope this site stays alive for a while, but it is looking pretty bleak lately.

^^^ Thanks for listing those sites. I'll take a look. Of course I will remain here until the end.

the only other place I talk about cars in general, is at the race track . . . but frankly not many Mustang Guys there, this board (and some of the others) seems to be about the best place

I too am not a fan of Facebook and the other social media sites; but it seems this forum is all tied in to that too (links show up here for things I looked at ON OTHER COMPUTERS) so I guess there is no escaping Big Brother Tech these days

IMHO, I don't buy into this site being gone anytime soon.. There's new members signing up nearly on a daily basis and still plenty of us who remain active to keep this place alive.. As for the Facebook groups, I tried it for awhile, but turned out it was nothing more than just a gossip site rather than actually being part of a Mustang community.. Hopefully more and more folks on these Facebook groups will realize this and join sites such as TMS.. There's also still plenty of activity over on S197 forums which I've been a member for over 6 years.
Therefore, I wouldn't be too concerned at this point regarding the possible demise of TMS along with other Mustang sites that remain relevant in keeping our hobby and community alive and well.

I too hope this place doesnt disapear anytime soon. It is a great place for knowledge and has A LOT of important threads for mods and whatnot.
I am part of a few FB ones but most of the posts are "how do I do this?" Or "Does anyone have this?" which have been answered a thousand times over.
FB groups like the 2005-2009 one can be toxic since there are A LOT of GT bullies and the mods dont care to clean them out.

This is my home for Mustang chat and info. I hardly go anywhere else. Its good to know that there are still people signing up. Just wish they would contribute more and not make one post, get thier reply and disapear.

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of that lately -- some don't even come back to see if they got an answer, or if they do, they don't even bother to say "thank you." At least their one post gives us something to read and respond to, LOL. I hope enough of them come back to keep the place alive.

The format here is so much better than the "stream of consciousness" format in facebook. I can never find anything in there a second time, it's pretty much useless for compiling and organizing a lot of information, like we can do here.

It actually does seem to be a pattern with people disappearing once they get a reply to their initial post shortly after signing up.. If they have no real interest in being part of a Mustang community by contributing more as active members, then why even bother to sign up in the first place..

because that's the only way they can post their question.

But it's all good; it gives us something to reply to, and increases the flow of traffic to the site; plus search engines can find their questions and direct more people here.

I don't think this site is going anywhere.
As long we still have our Mustangs, we'll have this site.

Doesn't having this site up cost money?
Who actually takes care of that?

I am just wondering, if activity here drops below a certain amount will the ones who own this place question if it is worth keeping this fourm up?
Just curious becuase I was part of a video game fourm and it shut down due to only a few members there still posting. The owner felt it wasn't worth to keep it running and shut the place down.

Nah, the site isn't going anywhere. Now that I'm here people will flock in to bask in my glorious presence.
