Probably a coyote stroker, less than ideal R/S ratio aside, it would be the most advantageous choice for Saleen. Not that I would expect it, but it would be an awesome surprise to see a tall deck coyote motor under that Saleen bonnet.
You say litres, i say cubic inches.

Got to meet Steve Saleen at the LA Auto Show today. I asked him about this car. He said it will be their own motor. It's not using the Shelby 5.8. I assume it will be Coyote based. Super nice guy! I also asked him about the S5S Raptor. No plans for that to see production soon
Also, I was wearing my TMS shirt which he complimented. He said, "You definitely have the right shirt on." LOL
Thanks again Scotthew!

Can't wait to see more of this. Glad S.S. is back in the drivers seat again. I really like how the nose seems to be a fresh combination of 2010-12 and '13/14. I just hope the tails are not so gawdy as they have been lately.

And the Lakers won too!
You must be in hog heaven
Thanks guys! I'm on a high right now. The auto was awesome even though there were no crazy debuts. Speaking of the Lakers they had a player doing autographs there which I enjoyed.
Also got my life-long toyota/scion friend to become obsessed with the Lincoln mkz hyrbid. I think the booth babe may have had an influence there too LOL.
Anyways the 351 should be cool. I'm glad they can finally ditch the SMS and go back to Saleen

And nice to see Steve back at the helm. Its always tragic when a bunch of suits are only interested in a brand and not the product. You'd think after so nearly destroying the domestic vehicle market somebody would learn.
Hmmm, back in April of 2010, Steve Saleen and his company, which was known as SMS Supercars at the time, announced plans for a 2011 SMS 351X model.
SMS 351X
While the SMS 302SC can win a fight with almost anything on the road, another legendary moniker is making its way back onto the road. Later this year, SMS Supercars will add the SMS 351X model. Says Steve: “with even more horsepower than the SMS 302SC, this supercharged beast will be the pinnacle performer of any production Mustang. More information on the SMS 351X will be released in the next few months”

Further, am I the only one who wishes Mr. Saleen and the "new" Saleen would have retained this aesthetic...

...instead of the SMS livery?
