Awesome sound! Great work again Livernois!

Hearing this exhaust in person, it's fantastic. It's the first one I've heard yet that made me consider (for a second) pulling my whole Corsa setup.

Hey Shaun what do the Ford engineers think about these lopey tunes? Did they ever forsee TiVCT being used this way?

I'd bet they are pretty proud

Shaun,

Does you car have cats? I'd be interested to hear if your fuel economy goes down with it tuned like that.

OMG. That is the closest I've heard the Coyote sound compared to the old 4.6...

No offense, but I'm surprised at the number of people that think Ford would be surprised. They spent how many years fine tuning ECU controlled VCT on the SOHC 3V?? The whole reason for going back to DOHC is to be able to control every aspect of cam timing - intake and exhaust banks separately - by the ECU - whether that be for emissions, mileage, or performance.

well maybe I should elaborate. I mean did they envision people adjusting the timing for the sole purpose of having a different sound..

I am gonna go with yes. Heck they are the ones that gave the aftermarket the idea with the Boss Red key tune (first time we heard idle lope from a tune on a Mustang)

The drivability of the idle lope tune is much better with a stick than auto. Auto you get a lot of bucking at low rpm's such as slowing down to a stop or in a lot of slow and go traffic. Not very enjoyable and hopefully they can get this worked out over time.

No loss tune vs tune is nice to know. Cool stuff. Are the numbers close across the board?

the lines are identical, there are a few drivability and other issue still to iron out before its released to the public.

Got it. I had forgotten that the idea came from the track key.

how does this differ from Lund's lopey idle tune?

430 whp from an intake, tune and o/r exhaust is nuts.
