200,000 plus miles.
200,000 plus miles.
Who on the forum has 200k plus miles on there mustang? 200k miles on the original engine and transmission? Let's here what your milage is and year of mustang. Let's hear about that Ford awesome engine quality.
When I sold my 2006 Pony convertible (4.0 V6 and automatic) last year I had 203,000 on it, original engine and transmission.
That car had a 75 shot of nitrous on it for 2 race seasons. Then at 90,000 miles the nitrous came off and the Xcharger was installed. The week before I sold it I was still running mid 12's. The new owner said it has 212,000 on it now, still running strong.

Lol. I hear you on that. I only drive around 8,000 miles year on my stang and that's not enough. I love driving it. Sometimes my stang will sit in the garage for a week or two and I'll go through withdrawal about not driving it. Lol
I just turned 200,000 on my 2005 Ford Freestyle. 3.0L CVT FWD this week!
Prob because this has been done a number of times.

In fact, in 09 my hay guy got the squeeze stuck in the mud at the turn around, buried to the axle. I yanked it out in 4x Low. Loaded and all. That's about 3.5 ton of hay. He couldn't believe it. I said the same thing to him "Over 250k, and still pullin!"

I changed transmission fluid around 30 - 40,000 miles. I had to replace the alternator at 178,900 and the thermostat housing at 199,880.
I havent kept a car long enough to hit 200, but I keep most of them 8-10 years around 130-150,000 by then I am ready for something different. I keep them maintained, which I think is the key.
I'll be at 20k in about a year as soon as I drive out to Arizona my GT is my daily driver for most part and own a business in a different state then I was residing in so drove out there every couple weeks to check up on things :P 7 hour both ways added up... but while I was in military I had a Subaru WRX and put 80k on it in one year but all I did when I was state side was drive that thing around every weekend I had off I'd drive 8-10 hours one way and back good times
My '97 is at 200,200 or so. Summer daily driving is split between three of my cars, winter goes pretty much entirely to my mazda now. The '97 has seen enough Chicago winters.
Engine and trans and axle are original. None have ever been opened up. Closest was replacing the intake manifold on the engine for the plastic cross over issue, twice. It was first replaced under warranty with another plastic cross over manifold that made it to 192K.
