Personalized license plates. Do you have one?

I think it's been awhile since this topic was discussed. Mine is rather simple with the model year and CS (California Special) on the NC Smoky Mountains design. I like seeing clever ones if I can figure them out. Sometimes I'm a little slow.

I always enjoy a good personalized plate. When I lived in South Carolina, I had a 1966 Corvair Corsa with the plate "66CORSA".

Offered the Wife a set of Va's BRP or Shenandoah Nat Park tags ... . Back when we bought the '07 F-150, which she spotted for me and which she insisted we get, and I told her that with me retiring soon, if we bought the F-150, it would likely mean no Mustang GT anytime soon. She said she still wanted us to get the truck, so we did. As a joke to my coworkers who often said "Les, buy her a Mustang" (She was a secretary at my office, we had the same bunch), I bought new plates for it that said "HER GT", and I can recall a guy pulling up behind me in Lewisburg and his passenger was pointing at my tag, and I could read his lips and hand movements as he explained the tag, he was right. When we bought the Mustang, I surprised her and put them on HER GT and got some new ones for the truck "RVSP-853". I put "L81179D" on our '19 Forester.

My 69 Mach l. 69 is the year and the 750 is for Mach l but 750 is the speed for Sonic Boom. Mach l speed is 767 mph. I need to change the plate to 69 767, When teenagers ask what it means I tell them it is the HP!

^^ Never too old. 66 here and I own 3 cars I would have owned as a teen. Some folks used to say I had a mid-life crisis when I was in my 40's and 50's but I guess I have been in a mid life crisis my entire life, from 16 to 66. I have never been without 'muscle'. It's where I'm most comfortable and some people just don't get it.

Good catch.
Any other plates out there??

Nemisus Jan 26, 2021 07:12 AM

Mine is simple enough. 7TH GTCS

Represents that my 07 was the 7th of 1305 off the assembly line in Performance White. Another fun fact, not related to plates but for those that are superstitious, mine was also finished on 06/06/2006.

Cheers

That '69 Mach I is badass. Pinnacle of Mustang styling, IMHO.

:agree:

The '69 Sportsroof (fastback) is one of my all time favorites. Mach 1 is an awesome beast, love to have one. Nice car. :nice:
