Been quite a while since last visiting TMS. Just to catch everyone up here, I no longer have the 06 Torch Red, had to let her go due to personal reasons.
Current Mustangs I have now are a 2008 GT and a 2021 GT. Feel free to follow me on Instagram at tacobill_mustang. I keep this account pretty active.
Good times here, take care everyone!
Wow, class of 2005. Time is flying. Traded the Lime Gold 05 GT 4.6 5spd in for a Lightning Blue 2017 GT 5.0 6spd with performance package. So much better in build quality for nvh, performance and ride than the 05 was. The 05 had the first model year build blues.

Glad you're doing well and are okay, Bill... Us old timers really miss your very informative, step-by-step write-ups and just shooting the breeze with you... Meanwhile, if you get a free moment, I'm sure we all would really enjoy seeing some pics of your current 2008 and 2021 Mustang GT along with any mod upgrades that you may have added... In the meantime, don't be stranger and hope to see you from time to time, just to catch up and perhaps reminisce some of the good ole days here on TMS...
Wow! Time sure does fly! Can't believe it's 16 years since I joined this site. Still got my 94 GT, but it's been down since it got flooded after hurricane Maria. Still a work in progress. Pic of the add I first saw it. Back when it got painted. Repaired after a front end accident. A few years back when I fixed the overheating issues. As it sits now with new headlights.
I'd say you recent guys that were here before to post your current car?
Mine is a 2019 Mustang ShelbyGT350 that I ordered new:
Just asking..
I see some old Mustang guys running around in an EV? You lost that lovimg feeling?

Time flies like a Mustang! I’d be Interested of how many still have their same Mustang from then.
Still have mine. Lots of go fast stuff since, but she’s still here and faithful as ever! Just recently flipped 90k on the odo.
hey John,
just flipping thru here saw your post from a year ago- Still got mine too, not a lot of go fast goodies, but lots of time on it at test/tune and autocross, last year my youngest son who came along over 2 years after getting the 06, was 2 days into driving stick, 3 days into his license, out at autocross in it I remember your car and mine were close VIN-wise, made within a day or three of each other... man how time flies, glad to see you still have yours too- still the best car ive ever had... i'm at 105,000 on my 06. wifes got around 30,000 on her 07, and my 09 is still undriven, ticked off another tenth last time moved out of the garage, now at 5.5 miles...its turned int a white elephant, hope it winds up on a museum someday...the plastic fell off the wheel and the seat plastics deteriorating, other than that, oil changes, batteries its same as day flatbedded here... was gonna be 'my next new car' bought early after hating the changes to the '10 model, but now, think the 06 will likely outlast me, and doubt theres many other undriven base gts left, if any...was a stupid buy, but loved the 06 so much, wanted a time capsule 'reset' if needed...
these forums back in the day were so cool... from Kzinti over at blue oval helping track- and his awesome help calming me down a bit when the car hauler smashed my first one at delivery, the ERL tracking phone number that had us all memorizing our vins/order numbers for weeks or months...never been so excited about anything in my life...think a lot of us saw these as 'more than a car' from day one, and cool we were able to get them, hang onto them, have them as 'part of the family' thru a major part of our lives...
hers a pic of the 'old' 06 with my youngest son behind the wheel- it made him a better driver than most within a week of getting his license- knowing time/place for everythings kept him from speeding/doing stupid stuff on the streets i did at that age, and has been fun out with him and my second oldest out at autocross as a family fun day thing...this year my oldest wants to give it a try too- he will probably use the 06 also, i'm still a little worried about putting them in the challenger, its pretty nimble for a barge, but the loud pedal can get you sideways easier than the mustang...ive got huge 275-50-17 rears on the mustang, rides soft, and throttle oversteer is extremely gentle, even if cornering like a bus...made sliding smoothly around easy even for my slow/old reflexes... had low profile 18s on it for a year and the step out was so violently quick (to me- i'm getting old/slow), i went home from the track several times with grass and mud all over...with the taller tires, it slides with the throttle ever so smoothly...
Anyways, glad to see you still have yours, these are really great cars
