'69 Shelby Sells for $280,000

"Remember that 1969 Shelby GT-500 with under 9,000 miles we covered here a few months ago?

Well, that classic American beauty recently pulled in $280,000 at an auction in Centre Hall, PA, according to a Central PA news report, which really shouldn’t come as surprise considering how rare of a find it is as ’69 Shelby with only 8,500 miles."

I was wondering how much that would sell for. 10 years ago it probably would have fetched even more.

Right before the crash in '08 I agree. I believe it would have pulled more.
The values are coming back strong but still not at the highs. Some of the hemi cars are far off from what they were selling for before. They may not fully recover anyway. Some of the prices were just silly.

Totally agree. Barrett Jackson and Mecum drove prices up quite a bit, not at any fault of their own, just crazy people getting caught up in the heat of the moment.

Cleaned up nicely!

Well, the attachment did not attach.

Somebody got a steal on that car! Wow, what a piece of American history. That should of fetch at least half a mill........
