Finest ORIGINAL Low Miles 1972 Mustang Grande??

My elderly (80+ years old) friend is going to try and sell his 1972 Mustang Grande this weekend. I'm going to take photos and list it for him, probably on Autotrader and maybe Hemmings. I believe his Grande may be the finest example out there. Of course I have no way of absolutely being certain but this car has only 24,000 miles and is all original. Always garage kept and really loaded with many options including a/c, the factory gauge package and upgraded suspension. Unusual stuff for a Grande. It is green with a tan interior and flawless!! A 351 2 bbl Cleveland is the power plant. If anyone is interested in such a beast, watch for the ads. It's something to see. I have gone to many car shows with him. Last year he won 'best original' at a show with nearly 200 cars. Glad the judges realized what they were seeing.

Here are a few. The ads should be up soon. The car actually has 22,500 miles. They say it can take a 'business day' or so. The Hemmings ad will have many photos. Only 9 on Autotrader.

Looks like it was Ziebarted at one time (I see a yellow plastic plug in a door jam). I had a 1980 Z28 that was an original Hawaii (Oahu) car and it had been Ziebarted. It did not have one spot of rust anywhere on it.

Yes, it was. They did really good work. There are other yellow plugs as well with the Ziebart name on them. Good eyes!

My Camaro had them, too.

As you can see, it was well preserved, especially for a Hawaii delivered car.

Sweet Camaro!! My '74 X was treated to something similar (thick black undercoating still prevalent on the undercarriage) when it was new as well but it wasn't Ziebart. It must have been another company but the work was still outstanding as the rust is almost non-existent.

Just talked to my friend. Not one inquiry yet except from a scammer who wants to 'help' him sell the car. Nice...

Just an update: One month later and just two calls, both tire kickers that wasted our time asking for more photos and never having the decency to at least say thanks. They were probably just looking for flaws in the car to knock down the price.
In the meantime he won a 'Top 10' award at a show with about 55 cars in attendance. He has the right attitude. If it doesn't sell, just enjoy the car like he always has. I think he has it priced right. He'd take less most likely but not much less for a 'turn key' show car. The main problem is that the Grande just isn't as popular as the fastback models.

Update: 3 months later. In addition to the previous ads I put two ebay ads in for the seller. Price lowed to $15k. No one came to see the car despite numerous requests for more photos, door tag info, Marti reports, etc... All provided with a smile yet no one was interested enough to even get back with him. Not sure why people ask for so much and then don't have the decency to say thanks or even acknowledge the effort. Such a waste of time. There certainly wasn't anything negative to send them. Obviously this Grande isn't the least bit popular with collectors or anyone interested in a sweet cruise-in type car for mid teen prices. It's either a Mach 1 or forget it apparently as far as Mustangs. I feel bad for my old friend. He's just going to keep it.
