I know Arin! It makes me sick to think how much more it would mean to me now than the 1983 Camaro I bought brand new to replace it. I kept having reoccurring dreams about that Cobra II until I got my white 08 Mustang. I had every intention of replicating the blue Shelby stripes on my new Mustang until I decided I really grew to like the black more.

i was reminiscing about when my car was still white lol. I still havent decided what to do about paint in the end. the white is refreshing.. i do know that i want to have a king cobra hood snake. im not a huge clone fan but man... its a giant freaking snake and you can;t get more 70's than that

i can't wait to get mine back

I would definitely do the hood snake! I would keep the rest of the car clean and not fuss with the dual pinstripes.

Oh and if you really wanna be different, create yourself a Martin Luther King Cobra!

I favour the 76 - 77 paint schemes of white with red stripes, or black with gold.

I find the King and the 78 Cobras a little too over the top, and too much like a T/A.

Hi Arin...you're right the book of II articles has the "sudden death" piece in it. Saw there weren't many II's posted here, so thought I'd contribute!

My II

Still a work in progress. Currently it is at the body shop getting some details cleaned up, then to the upholstery shop for the front seats. It has a built 302 .30 over with a Holley 4 Barrell and duel exhaust.

Back from the Bodyshop

Finally got the II back. I had to have the back bumper redone and also some rust taken care of. I also had the blue stripes painted on the rear window louvers.

Today I replaced the dashpad and redyed the white seats.
