Day trip to Ihe Island in Pigeon Forge TN

We took the GT to TN yesterday for my wife's birthday. Although cold in the morning it warmed up into the 70's in the afternoon. The tough part is getting through the national park where the roads are still gritty and prepped for the ice each night at the 5000' elevations. We arrived about 10:00 in Pigeon Forge and the parking is free at The Island which is nice.
We never visited The Island before despite it being there for over 10 years now. It was a lot of fun and we spent most of the day there. The 200' Wheel was the highlight for us ($14 each senior discount). We also liked the Sky Fly experience which took you soaring over the national parks in the US. ($18 each).
We had dinner at the nearby Chop House, in Sevierville, a favorite for prime rib dinners. Of course we finished off the day with a dozen at Krispy Kreme where the red light also seems 'on' at this location.
Some photos with quick descriptions under each.

Great shots and looks like a fun trip. There is nothing like going out in a Mustang GT convertible. Launch http://www.tukatz.com, click on Getaways on the home page and click on A 2026 Brief Road Trip to see our latest.

I expect I'm older than you and I still have a reasonable bit of hair, although not long flowing locks.
