Another western road trip to share

We just returned from our annual vacation and this year we took the 2007 GT/CS again. From the Black Hills to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons, to uncommon short sections of Route 66 in Kansas and Missouri on the way home. 5,200 miles tacked on to the odometer. We took over 500 photos so I picked out interesting ones with most of them involving the Mustang. I made short notes under each photo. Lots of rain in Yellowstone, then dirt roads in Utah at the Dinosaur National Park, so keeping the car detailed was tough. I gave up the final 4 days after hitting tar at some interstate construction projects. Two days of detailing at home, some fluid changes, and we are ready for another trip!

Thanks for the comments. I just realized the 3rd photo down was at Mt Rushmore. I can see Washington's profile near the top.

Great pictures Dave. It looks like you had some good weather along the way. It's absolutely beautiful out west, and the GT/CS looks right at home.

Thanks! The weather was so-so, especially the cold and rain in Yellowstone, when the week just before was sunny and in the 70's. I guess it could have been worse as just a few weeks later I see Montana received a lot of snow in areas.

I took a vacation through most of those areas in April 2018. Very beautiful part of the country. Only thing we missed was Yellowstone...the park was still closed. The friend that planned the trip caught hell for that blunder. Think Marty Moose "Sorry folks...." LOL
