Shelby Mustang GT350R Just as Fast as Porsche 911 GT3

Ford says that while lapping Grattan Raceway, the new GT350R was just as fast as a Porsche 911 GT3, and a full second faster than the outgoing Camaro Z/28.

Are you saying that the new GT350 is faster than a new Porsche GT3?

I doubt it. Please stop the hyperbole. It's OK if a $50K car is a little slower than a $175K car on a road race course.

That's what I want to know. They say it's faster,.....but year Porsche GT3 are they talking about? It's never posted in any of the articles that I read.

Depends on driver, track and who is testing/timing it. Stick with reputable sources like road and track magazine and they haven't tested the GT350R yet.
