No order here, but would love to get one! I have visions of a Race Red with white stripes, and black roof and accents. Love to see your pics, and lots of them when it comes in! Ruby is an awesome color choice.
I ordered an Orange Fury with the black over the top stripe on Friday! Dealer is saying 12-14 weeks lead time if they can get the extra allotment, which they assured me they can...

I can keep my allotment open and supposedly I am "1st on the list" if some other dealer decides they don't want theirs. Now I am looking at a Roush Stage 3. Same Orange Fury color and whatnot.
Any thoughts on how that would stack up against a 350?

You mean the dealership jacked you around? You ordered a car and they are telling you that you didn't order a car? I most certainly would not buy a car from that dealership. At least not this year.

It sounds like the dealer's allotment was already used up by prior orders; first they said they could get more allotment and then later they admitted they cannot. Not sure if they actually took Graig's money to hold his place in line, or not.
Craig, can you go to another dealer? Bigger dealers usually have bigger allotments.
Regarding the Roush -- for what purpose? I am not sure exactly how they would stack up; but the Roush is supercharged so it has more horsepower and torque; but it also has the weight of the supercharger on the front wheels and the supercharged cars often have heat soak issues on road tracks. So the GT350 is probably a better road track car, Roush would probably do better on drag strip. On the street, the torque of the supercharged Roush could be a real kick.
Typically each dealer is getting one GT350 allocation, if lucky. The “big dealer” phenomenon doesn’t really apply here, save for maybe a handful of exceptions.
My dealer had more than one allocation. They were hard to get in 2016 and 2017. It was easier in 2018 and 2019 (they make the entire production once a year), Ford announced the new GT500 this year which may have taken demand from the GT350. My dealer said they were not even accepting any more deposits on a GT500 (check back in 4 years).
The car has had some problems that are in the forums and a recent Car and Driver 40,000 mile road test (Feb., 2019 issue).
BTW, a local Ford dealer near me has a couple of supercharged Roush Mustangs and a couple of Roush F-150's on the lot today. They aren't as affordable as a GT350.
Picked 'er up on Friday. So far I am extremely impressed. I've only driven about 90 miles, mostly in-town, but a little interstate and some paved rural roads. The ride is tight on normal mode, as is the steering, but it's nothing that will keep this from being a daily driver for me. I work from home so "daily" is a stretch. I think I put 1500 miles miles on my car last year. The brakes are amazing and you can totally feel that 3500 rpm surge of power. I found a somewhat curvy and flat road on the edge of town to give my bro-law a ride and at low speeds it sounds like you're going a lot faster than you are. At high speeds you don't even notice until you look down and go holy crap.
As delivered, the paint is great. I went ahead and got the Xzilon application. There is an issue with the stripe on the hood where it wraps under the hood on the front that I'm going to have the dealer look at and fix. It's not quite flat so there's not really a bubble but a spot where it doesn't lay flat. The body lines are pretty good. Drivers side fender to the hood is a little bowed so I'm going to ask about that as well. Otherwise super happy so far.
