2000 thousand over MSRP sounds real fair to me. Kona Blue with an automatic is a really good choice. The great thing about the 50th anniversary package is that you can get the performance pack with the automatic transmission. Plus automatics are fun to drive when all you have to do is mash the gas and light up the tires. Should be one really great car.

I believe it was either here or on another Mustang board, a dealer placed their customers 50th order and got a DORA# after doing so.

I said I placed MY order.... obviously the dealer can't order the car yet. But I've known the dealer a long time, bought 2 previous cars from him. His word is good. If he says I can have the car, then I can have the car. When the order banks open and we can get a price, I'll order the car if I can swallow the price. If not, he'll order it for stock or whomever may be next on the list.

Seriously, there's a couple of you guys that need to get a life.

I think it's more like a promise of an order than an actual order. He's a good customer and the dealership is hooking him up.

you guys should know that the only people who know most about the price/features/options/availability/order placings/promises for the 2015 mustangs are the ford dealers.

In this case, his ford dealer knows exactly what date the 50th anniversary blue stang will be in his dealership. They agreed the principle of $2000 over msrp and a deal seems to be promised.

He hasn't paid for it, he hasn't ordered it. But as soon as the car comes, it's probably his.

$2,000 over MSRP is quite low actually, I spoke with the Ford Dealership I pick up from on my route and they (along with many other dealerships) are charging $10,000 over MSRP. I like some of the details on the 50th Anniversary Mustang, like the 3 piece "louver windows", and the faux gas cap/emblem on the rear, Kona Blue being available etc. But its a safe bet that the aftermarket will provide similar if not identical parts after the 2015 hits showrooms. So in my opinion at least unless you're going to park the car and keep it as a trophy vehicle it's not worth it. Keep in mind that is just my opinion, to each their own.

$10,000 over MSRP for 50th anniversary. Omg, ba ha ha ha ha. If the dealerships can find some putz to pay 10k over MSRP, that's awesome. 10k over. Ha ha ha ha ha

That's a $100k car though. What's $125k at that point?

I think that will be easy for dealers. Raptor is marked up 20k at my local dealer and the salesman told me they sell them all the time. I don't believe everything they say but still a 20k markup. I can see the regular 2015 mustang GT being marked up just as the 05 was when they came out. I paid the markup on my 05 and I will not pay any markup on a 15.

I hear ya on that. If the dealerships can sell a Raptor for 20k over MSRP then god bless them and the people who pay for it. I totally agree that the dealerships will charge over MSRP for the 2015 model and bet it will be marked up 5-7k over. Which they will get it because some putz will be willing to pay. Thank goodness for these putz people. The economy needs them. I salute them.

Same here with me. Actually they contacted me and asked me if I was interested in one and if so what option of transmission and color. I have bought 10 vehicles from them so if they say the first Kona Blue / manual 50th Edition LE that comes in is mine.... I believe them.

My local Dealer has offered me the LE @ MSRP...They told me I have 48hrs after the order banks open to make my mind up on Color/Tranny & if I want it...They originally wanted a decision right away, but I told them, I need to know the price on the LE and price on a GT...

They also said, if the LE or GT is available on the X-Plan, they would honor it as well...I've dealt with them in the past, their word is as good as it gets.

My dealer also is getting an allocation
They are going to order a Wimbledon white one which beautiful from the photos I've seen.
I bought a 14 gt/CS from them last year, hoping to see what they would give me for a trade in towards one.
I think it would hard to order one without knowing what the final hp/torque
numbers end up being.
Likely won't pay anything over sticker
