Track Mode
Track Mode
I put my GT premium in Track Mode today for the first time out in the 'country' on a straight farm mode with traction control off. Not knowing what to expect when I punched it I was surprised how fast it got up to 90+ before I ran out of road safe from oncoming smokies.

The o let other thing I noticed when using the track key is if you buy no name gas ( even if it's still 91+ octane which is the min with the track key) it has a very pronounced sulfur odor. I was buying it at a wholesale club when I noticed it but when I switched to Shell V-power it went away. Not sure what the deal is there but I hate sulfur odor.
Enjoy the track key!!

Just before my run I did fill up with Shell V Power Nitro. Most likely that added to the increase in performance. I always use name brand but recently switched from BP premium with so called really good additives to Shell. Have not noticed any sulfur odor yet with either brand.

I don't think there's a track KEY for the 2015 yet. These 15/16 GT models have a switch on the dash that allows you to toggle between different driving modes. There are rumors that Ford is developing a factory Tune for the S550.
If there is a track key, my dealer didn't know about it for the 15/16s. He basically said its all built in now.
Try holing up/down the trac off switch/button for twenty seconds and then try to floor it. Be warned!!!! There is no traction at all and tired will break loose and you could loose control
I drove a 2015 GT (non-PP to be fair), and tried all the modes, and even line lock. I had the car for a day. Line lock was fun, glad it wasn't my tires, haha.
To be honest even in track mode it felt a lot slower than my 14 GT Track Pack. I think the less aggressive rear end is a large part of why that is., plus the 15s are heavier.

But my car is also a weekend track warrior, and there the 3.73s are deffinitely too short. I've found myseld running out of gear with a few hundred yards left to the brake zone. Do i shift, or do I just ride it? I think 3.55 would be a better choice for Track Pack and PP cars. Unless you have a 8200rpm redline.
PP cars have to shift into 3rd just to hit 60mph on the timer unless you raise the limiter. I almost wish my car had 3.55s in it but with 3.73s and the blower it is a ton o fun.
Assuming you all have manual transmissions, I'm not sure how Sport+ and Track have any real affect for you guys, but in automatic transmissions, Track mode is a beast. The auto in track mode even with 3.55 gears will get the jump and maintain the lead against a manual with 3.73 gears 19/20 times. For Auto in track mode, there's no throttle lag when you perform WOT's at rolling speeds because of the reduced traction controls.
So did you take trac control off by holding it down for 30secondd? Or just by turning it off the regular way? If you didn't hold it down for 30 seconds, try that with WOT, but be warned you will not get any traction and **** can hit the fan quick!!!!!
Holding it down until Advancetrac Off indicator appears removes both traction and stability. On Base GT's, double tapping the traction button, leaves stability and places traction in a reduced state called Advancetrac Sport Mode. On GT Premiums, it's only available in Track mode. The only time I've ever seen the need to remove everything was when doing donuts.
