Pesky "trumpeting" Ford Performance by Borla cat-back

Does anyone else have this exhaust? I really love the way it sounds, and I sort of expected a little trumpeting when it is cold, but even once it's fully warmed up, under heavy throttle the thing sounds like an angry, louder Wynton Marsalis. Does anyone have any tricks to minimize the trumpeting? I'm using an X-Pipe - I've heard that an H-pipe can help reduce this, but it's a different sound, and I rather like the somewhat "euro" rasp the x-pipe produces. Any thought/suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have these on the wife's GT. No x-pipe, and no trumpeting. Maybe the problem there my friend.

BTW, her's is a '13. I don't know if that makes a difference either. Good luck.

I had the same issue, installed the Ford Perf. by Borla + an X pipe.I Did not like the sound either. I reinstalled the factory resonator. I now like the sound. As a side note, looking through the factory resonator is as close to a straight pipe as they get. People complain about it's weight, but that is not a critical factor for me. 2016 GT Calif Special. Good Luck.

I have the Axle back ford racing by borla and also a borla resonator. Low deep rumble.

I have the Ford Racing gt 500 which I am told are the same as the Borlas. They are Made by them with a different tip.

Remove the Xpipe and it will go away.
