The infamous Tick

Bought a 2015 GT about 6 months ago with 30k miles it's an automatic. Right after my 1st oil change which I did I noticed a ticking sound from the engine. It was very intermittent so I dismissed it as an accessory drive issue. 2nd oil change noticed it again and had the car on the lift and it seemed to be coming from the drivers side lower engine area. Has anyone else had experience with this and what was your recourse.

Seems to be a common issue. I know a few here in the UK who've had that issue. Why on earth it goes away and comes back after an oil change I don't know. Most odd. Hope someone can come along and shed some light. Strangely mine hasn't done that.

It's seems that 5.0L's have done the ticking dance since their onset. Quite a few F-150's with the 5.0L will do the same thing. I haven't heard of this ticking leading to something more serious, but I can't be 100% on that. I would let the dealer hear the ticking, and ask him to document it do if it does get worse you can say, "I told you so". Good luck.
