Getting a "tougher" feel with the 2016 GT...

We just bought a 2016 GT with PP.

We came from a 2014 GT (no perf pack, but it did have the 3.73).

What we are struck most by is of course how much quieter this one is (not a good thing) and...how much more...."polite" it feels.

My wife thinks it feels like we could be driving a BMW or Toyota or Honda it's so smooth. She misses the visceral "truck like" feel of the 2014 already.

I'm wondering if changing to a more aggressive exhaust might help how it "feels" when driving the car, and what anyone else thinks might aid this situation?

I love it, I'm fine with it, but I do see what she means.

Thx
Tom

Congrats on the '16 GT PP.
Definitely add the exhaust. Those cars love mods. Especially boost! People are running their Whipple superchargers at over 700RWHP. Man,...even Roush is having fun with the new generation as well. Stage 2 kit on a Roush supercharged car gets you over 600RWHP.
Good luck! :nice:

Stiffer springs, stiffer dampers, louder exhaust will help you get the "visceral" experince back in part. But not all of it. Sorry, you're a bit SOL.

Actually we've been driving it now for a few days and are really liking it now. Ordered a new exhaust, that should do it!

Yeah,...sometimes that takes a while to adjust.
I was like that with my last truck and getting used to the new truck. I liked it, but wasn't in love with it and missed my old truck. I had the old truck for almost 11 years. Now I'm in love with the new truck. :nice:
Good luck.
