Best Suspension / Wheel setup for maximum safety without affecting speed?
I’ve been interested in purchasing a ‘17 - ‘22 mustang GT.
All I see online is mustang’s crashing. Mustangs fishtailing, and much debate about it in the comment sections. Is it the driver’s fault, or the mustang? Regardless, I have also heard that if you use larger tires in the back it helps with traction so you don’t spin out of control. I’ve also heard of sway bars. is there anyone with experience modding their mustang GT that could help me know what the best mods are to prevent the car from spinning out of control when driving fast in a straight line? |
Perhaps The Popularity of the Car & Some Stupid Stunts Don't Go Unpunished. Perhaps a Better Option is to Find a Performance Driving School & Learn How To Really Drive a Car in All Situations!
Just Saying! KC |
Buy the car then go to some autocross events in your area. While you are there drive it and once you think you got the hang of it, push it til you loose it. You need seat time so that you can tell where the limits of grip is with the car and when you go over that limit how to bring the car back. I have taken many young people out to a autocross event and all of them thought they knew what they were doing, but come to find out they didnt. Once they figure out that they arent the coolest kid out there they usually start to listen and let the car talk to them. So go buy the car of your dreams then take it to the course and learn. Then you will not be another youtube star for the wrong reasons.

It's a driver problem, not a car problem. I think too many people are watching "Fast and Furious" and thinking "I can do that" ... but they can't.
On the streets, just keep it near the speed limit and keep your right foot under control, and there should be no problem. If you do want to push a bit closer to the limits of what the car can do, a race track of some kind is the place to do it, like 1 old Racer suggested. There are modifications that can be done to increase the handling and traction limits of the car, but you should not be anywhere near those limits on the street, even in stock form. No amount of tires or any other modifications will keep the car on the road when the driver is driving like an idiot. Just save the "Fast and Furious" antics for the race track, "drive normal' on the street and keep the traction and stability control on, and you should be fine. |
A while back my bride and I signed up for a Skip Barber driving course at Lime Rock, CT. It was a fun gift to ourselves for an anniversary.
I learned more about car control in two days there than I had in a lifetime. Those two days have kept me out of trouble on the roadway numerous times since then. These courses cost money, yes. But what you learn will impact how you drive a car the rest of your life. Plus we had great fun. |

Spam Away! Kc |
I don't suppose there is any way to automatically remove the "likes" when spammers change their posts to spam? LOL ;)
I felt like a fool when I saw that I had "liked" that spam post above, until I saw your post KC and realized what had happened, and removed it. Seems like we are getting hit with a lot of this over the past few days, I wonder what's up? |

I'm new to this. Can you help me. Is a Thread a new comment? Or how do you interact in the conversations?

you can start a new thread in a forum -- you need to go to the forum first, and not be inside an existing thread |
:agree: IMHO This pretty much just about sums it all up lol.
