Starting car when the key fob battery dies
Good Morning,
I have a 2015 Ecoboost Convertible and have a question about the keyfob. I know there's a key in the keyfob that you can open the driver's door with to get into the car. Once you're in the car, how do you start it when the keyfob battery is dead? |
On my 2017, you put the keyfob under the matte in the rear most cupholder. There's a space for it.
Did they move it though from previous years? because I could have sworn I thought it was under the matte in the center console. Try both of those areas out. But from my understanding, you just place the fob in there. |

I looked up the owners manual online that you can get for free and here it is:
http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo...US_07_2014.pdf Go to page 122, look for the picture of the cup holders. It's in that area that explains how to start your car and where to put the key. |
