Engine problem, need help

I had a spark plug blow out of the head and break the coil mount. Installed a new plug with a sleeve but it won't start. Any thoughts on the cause? Timing chain? Broken rocker, push rod, valve? Still get compression. Have not yet removed the valve cover? What do you suggest to do to diagnose the problem.

What year/model/engine?

Might want to post this under warranty and service issues. You might get more replies there.

is it back firing at all when you are trying to start it. Reset the fuel cutoff switch just for the fun of it. Turn the key on and see if you hear the fuel pump kick on

Well he said pushrod, so I'm guessing there is no fuel cutoff switch and the fuel pump is mechanical. :dunno:

maybe the plug was replaced without being torqued down right I had one pop out tip broke inside head , stopped engine immediatley put a clear bag over plug hole had my son start car ,electrode or tip shot out into bag before scouring up the cylinder, lucky day i'd say.
