GT/CS wheels with Brembo brakes

I have a set of GT500 wheels so I am planning to upgrade to the Brembo brakes. I know the stock GT/CD wheels won't clear. Does anyone know how much spacer it would take? I don't plan to drive on them, just for shows where I would want the car looking orignal.

If the Brembo brakes are 14" they're designed to fit GT500 wheels which came standard on all 2007-09 Shelby GT500 models.. This was my main reason for purchasing a set of GT500 wheels for my 2006 GT, as I plan on eventually upgrading to 14" Brembo brakes. Meanwhile, welcome aboard.

I think they require 1/2 spacer, Some wheels required only need 8MM or 5/16th. Might be better to get some washers and put on the studs and then test fit the wheel until it clears and measure the thickness of the washers and that is what you need for a spacer. You only need washers for 3 studs not all 5 for test fitting purposes.

Do not run with washers as spacers and remember you need the same for the rear so the front wheels don't look like they poke.

OP! I stand corrected, as you were referring to the stock GT/CS wheels not being able to clear the Brembo brake kit without adding spacers... Anyway, my apologies for misreading your post.

I think it will need a lot of spacer, probably at least 1/2"; testing with washers sounds like a good idea, and make sure you have enough thread engagement on the studs. You might end up with the tires poking outside the fenders.
