GT/CS Wheel size?
 

Does anyone know what size the 2014 GT/CS wheels are? I know they are 19" but how wide are they?

19x8? 19x8.5? I can't seem to find the specs on these.

Thanks! I'm considering 19x9.5 wheels and wasn't sure how much wider than stock they'd be.

Yes, the stockers are 19x8.5

You can definitely run 19x9.5, even 19x10 (I run 19x10 on the front)

Thanks Gabe! That's helpful be use some of the wheels I've seen are only available in 8.5 or 10" widths.

I've done a lot of research on this myself and most 19x10 rims are going to rub at least a little under suspension compression, etc. Some go to front coilover springs to get clearance which you may want to do also if you want 10" wide rims all the way around. I'm leaning towards F14s 9" on front & 11" on back myself, but haven't pulled the trigger on them yet. Whatever 10" rims you decide on I'd try to find someone who's actually running them on their car to be sure.

It all depends on the backspacing/offset. Wheel manufacturers always play it safe with our cars when they design wheels. Our cars are able to run much lower offset wheels than most wheel manufacturers offer.

How much do the stock GT/CS wheels weigh? And does anyone know the other specs for offset and backspace?

You can run 8.5x20 front with 275/35 and 10x20 rear with 305/35 no problem and no rubbing. Biggest sizes you can do with 8.5" and 10".

275/35/20 on a 8.5"-wide wheel????

I would highly advise against that.

A 275 tire should be on a 9.5-10" wheel.
I wouldn't even really recommend it on a 9"-wide wheel, but if not driven to extreme during cornering that should be fine.
But on a 8.5" wheel? No way.

yes I know that is the general feeling but some guys are running them already and have had no problems. The tire is about .5" wider and taller then a 255/35 so it actually fits on ok and you lose about 1-2mm in width due to the narrower rim size.. I would not recommend it for anything but street use also.

I think I came across the size as an option for 8.5" wheel also some where. I would have to go look and see where I saw it.

18's and you want a 245/50 18 to keep the speedo correct. Also if you went with a 9 or 9.5 inch tire you could run a 275/45 18, same height as the stock with the 1/2 inch more sidewall on the 18 inch wheel and a little wider.

Yes you can "downsize" to 18" diameter wheels, with the right size tires to make the tire diameter about the same as they were before.

There is no such thing as an 18.5" diameter wheel, I think you are confusing the 8.5" wheel width.

Since you are buying wheels anyway, I would probably look for 18" diameter x 9" or 9.5" wide wheels; this will open up your choices on tire size a bit like Siber said.
