How to remove Hubcap -68 Mustang-

My neighbor lady is having her garage door replaced and need to move this awesome car. She is 80 and hasn't driven it in 5 years, and the tires have gone to ****.

I need to remove the hub caps, but I do not wanna mess anything up. Anyone have any knowledge on how to remove. I just cant reach the steams to fill the tire up.

Thanks,

Clint

Usually, hub caps can be pried off with a large screwdriver. The factory lug wrench on some cars has one end designed for that purpose as well. At least the lug wrench in my '65 Corvair does.

A large screw driver will work. Just use it carefully.

You can wrap a small towel, rag, or cloth around the business end of the screwdriver before you stick it in there as to not scratch anything. If it'll fit in there with that wrapped around it.

Those tires are shot! Get them aired up to move it out of the way, but then get the wheels or the car on a rollback to Wal-Mart, or other tire store, and get some new shoes!
