Will 245/45-19 tires fit on 19x9 wheels?

Hi. Will 245/45-19 tires fit on 19x9 wheels?

Currently, I have them on 19x8.5 wheels. It may not seem like a big difference but the 19x9s have a smaller offset making it stick out a bit more.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Will 245/45-19 tires fit on 19x10 wheels?

I have had 245/40/19s on a 9.5" wheel. Wasn't ideal but it was ok. I am certain a 245/45/19 is no problem at all on a 9".

If the thread title is a typo I will change it if you want.

Wait, are you putting the 245s om 19x9 or 19x10 wheels? The title and the body of your post are conflicting?

On a 10" wide wheel, a 245 tire will be stretched and will always look like you didn't get the right size tires.

It WILL look good to all those "stanced" VW's with wheels sticking out of the car and tires barely able to reach across from wheel bead to bead

I have Boss 302S 19 X 9 wheels on my stock 245/45/19 Pirelli PZeros. The original wheels were 19 X 8.5.

They fit fine, but the lip of the wheel is flush with the sidewall and this invites curb scrapes. I wish the wheel was a bit more recessed. It's a lot easier correcting curb scrapes on rubber than it is on machined aluminum.

I think a wider tire, perhaps a 275/40/19, will allow for a little more ballooning so that the sidewall extends past the wheel lip.

I had the stock 245/45/19 Pirelli PZeros mounted on a 19x9.5 wheel and they were stretched just a little enough to see it. I think you would be okay on a 19x9 but agree with TripleBlack14 about the curb rash.

Ahh, now I got it. Yeah, no issues with fitting these on 9" wide wheel. Plus if you switch to a 9" wheel you can put 255s or even 275s later on if you so choose.

Thanks all for your input. I really appreciate it. I will pass on the suggestion about the VW to my nephew.

I see that look on a lot of German cars. What is the point of that? It's not a performance thing right?

No, it hurts performance, doesn't improve it.

I see that alot also. Must be a >>> I want to be different thing. Thats cool you can have it.
Never in my garage.

Would think, on a hard turn you run the chance of knocking the bead off the rim.

I'm putting 245/45/zr18, on my factory 2008 GT rims, anyone ever do this, and no problems? They come factory with a 235/50/zr18 on them, not very much difference!!!
