Roush Springs Rear Only?

I'm thinking of doing Roush springs only in the rear to level out the car a bit. My GT/CS front splitter just clears most park stops now so I'm not to keen on dropping the front at all.

Will pairing the stock front with Roush rear springs cause any handling issues? Has anyone dropped just the rear?

I am kinda interested on what the response you will get in here. I have a set of Roush springs in my garage waiting to be installed. I currently have eibach pro springs which lowered my car 1 inch in the front and 1.5 inches in the back. The Roush lowers the car 1 inch all around. I need to raise the back a little bit to get rid of my 305 tire rubbing.

What are the spring rates for the Roush springs?

Stiffer rear springs without changing fronts will reduce traction in the rear a little during cornering. I don't think the change will be anything to worry about for normal street driving, but at the limit I think this will cause more of a oversteer behavior.

Roush Springs Rear Only?

I did the 55D rear springs from Route 66 Speed Shop. They settled in dropping the rear a bit over .5". I also did the Steeda pro actions rear only. So the front is stock. The handling improved dramatically. I love it.

Visually a 1" drop in back should level mine out perfectly. I don't like any rake so level is what I'm going for. Also I really like that I don't have to worry about park stops with my front splitter.

I had an '06 GT that I installed Steeda Sports on and that pretty much leveled it and I was happy with the handling. I also did Koni Oranges but again I am concerned about my splitter so im not looking to drop the front.

I think the wheel gap on my vert is less than I see on coupes. Is that because the vert is heavier near the rear?

Will I see a 1" drop with the Roush springs? I've actually seen the Roush's advertised as a 3/4" drop but I'm looking for 1"

What aftermarket springs most closely match the stock springs in rate or behavior while still providing a slight 1" drop?

I have Roush rear springs only and it definitely did NOT lower it 1 inch...more like 1/2 to 5/8s of an inch.

Regardless, I'm happy with the results for now.

Do you know which I exact Roush spring you have? I think I've seen 2-3 different Roush springs and claims of 0.5" and 1" drops

I really don't know. Bought them off the Roush Performance ebay store and just don't recall. I took the time to measure another '13 Mustang GT with 18 inch wheels and mine. Mine sits 5/8 of an inch lower after around 6 months.

That makes me nervous, it's not worth my time or $ for 5/8". I may have to call Roush
