Opinions on Apex wheels?

My stock Brembo wheels are starting to show their age and the finish is starting to pit. I came across this group buy on a set of Apex Racing Products wheels:

I haven't seen much on the Apex wheels. I know opinions on wheels are really subjective, but was wondering if some of you have experience with them and could speak to the quality of the finish?

I looked at them when I purchased my wheels a couple years ago. They are nice looking wheels, but at that time they only had 18's for Mustangs. They seem to be very popular with the BMW owners. You might do a quick search on some of their forums to see what they are saying. The Anthracite looks killer.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have any clearance issues running the 285 35 19 Bridgestones with your 19 x 10 wheels? This is the size that I am looking at.

Nice wheels. Sizes and weights match up pretty well with my SVE S350s. I'm running 285/35r19 up front with a 1.5" drop, no issues.

There are group buys going on now for Apex wheels in both 18" and 19" to fit the S197 and S550 Mustangs. It is interesting to see that twice as many people are interested in the 18" wheels versus the 19". Also Rog13GTCS was correct with his recommendation to look at BMW forums for reviews. Apex has been making wheels to fit BMW's longer and they appear to be very popular. There are 4x more people interested in the current group buy on 19" BMW wheels than 19" Mustang wheels.

The group buy is in the payment stage for another day or so. I have pledged to buy them, but don't know if there is going to be enough interest in the 19" Mustang wheels to get a decent discount. I will know in a couple of days what the actual cost will be.

The group buy fizzled out. There just wasn't enough interest in the 19" Mustang wheels. Apex did put the wheels on sale with free shipping and $25 off per wheel though. Mine just came in. I will post pics when I get a change with first impressions.
