Helpful Max Performance Summer tire comparison

Not a Mustang but a RWD, SRA big power car in the same weight class...worth a look. The results are interesting.

Good find. They list the tires in the test right around the 3+ minute mark

The Direzza does it again. Too bad you can't get it in a size that will work. I would use a 285/35/18 squared or 275/40/19 squared. The Rival doesn't come in either of those sizes as well. The only one that does so far in searching is the Hankook Ventus R-S3. I was surprised that the Super Sport was so far down the list. Looks like they should be stepping up their game in the near future.

Folks run 275/35/19
These are .5" shorter than 255/40/19...

How long would a set of BFG Rivals last...and still be sticky?

Those are available in 285/35/19 and they're a bit cheaper than MPSS and even the RA-11s...and they seem to be pretty darned good in tests...

It's just incredibly difficult to find consistent tests.

How long they will last is relative to how you use them. I'm pretty hard on my tires so they last about a year to year and a half before I have to replace them.

Ba good point, of course...but how long will they last relative to eachother if driven the same way?

I got about 20,000 miles out of my stock Pirellis but they seemed notably less sticky by the end of their life.

My Pirellis have about 18K on them and they work well when they have some heat in them. I have about 12K on the Pilots and they have tons of tread left on them.
