Ford Racing Adjustable Suspension
Dropped the car off today to get my Ford Racing Adjustable Suspension package installed. Got the kit from Levittown Ford online when they had it for 1400 with free shipping. The price has since increased. It came with a Ford Racing Panhard bar, adjustable shocks and struts made by toxico I believe, the lowering springs and bigger front and rear swaybars.

I can't wait to pick the car up tomorrow and test it out. Should drop approximately one inch. I'll post a before and after pic tomorrow as well along with reactions about the adjustability and the feel. Anyone else have this system on their car? I went through the boxes to make sure I was shipped all the parts but I didn't look much into how to adjust them or if there's a specific tool to do so.

The car will feel great. Not sure about tool for adjusting, but I'd recommend setting the rears a bit softer than the fronts initially as that usually makes for a predictable and compliant setup.
If you drive the car hard, you should instantly notice it feels far more controlled and compliant. Brake dive is vastly reduced, which helped me enormously at my last track outing!
Hope they aren't charging much as the install is easy and quick. Post some pics when you get it back!

That looks like a great set-up, at a great price. I think you will notice the difference immediately. No more body roll. No more floatiness. No more squat under hard acceleration. No more dive during hard braking. Really transforms the car. How do I know? I have the Eibach Pro-System-Plus-Kit (springs, dampers, sway bars), with BMR adjustable PHB. Very similar set-up to yours, but my shocks are not adjustable (I like that yours are!). I run at the road course several times a year, and the car stays so flat and balanced - very quick in the turns. I think you will love it. Enjoy, let's see pics.
Love this new setup! Car feels more planted to the road, no roll, no ridiculous nose pitching under braking or acceleration. Sway bars are set to neutral and dampers are set to medium, 3 turns from full firm. I absolutely love it. Feels like a totally new car. I will say that if you're someone who values a very very smooth ride and soft smooth transition over bumps, this may not be for you. I expected to feel every bump and I want to feel feedback from the road.
Not sure if you can see the drop from the pics but I can definitely tell it's slightly lower now. Found the adjustment tool so I'll play with that after a while. Definitely will put it to the test tonight on the on-ramp when I head downtown for the evening.

And yeah it definitely looked like a 4x4 before. Te shadowing makes it hard to see the drop. I'll try to take some better ones.
Question for those with lowered/upgraded new suspension systems. Is it normal for there to be a little extra noise as the springs and other components settle/break in? Not meaning road noise from normal driving. I mean extra noise in the compression and rebound or flexing associated with suspension travel when going over speed bumps or uneven terrain going into driveways and whatnot. Didn't notice until this morning when going up the entrance to my apartment driveway, seemed to be a little more thumping type noises coming from the front suspension. No vibrations through the pedals or wheel. Just increased noise from what I noticed when I first got it. Could just be me though.
Trying to get to one ASAP. my work schedule and location makes it somewhat difficult as there aren't any road courses close to me. 4-5 hours in each direction which is doable but again my work scheduling makes it difficult to plan for anything. Before I hit the track I plan on upgrading my brake lines and pads at a minimum. .
If you do a high temp brake fluid like Motul RBF600, use at least 3 bottles to bleed the system and bleed the clutch at the same time. I didn't do this at first and kept getting brake fade. Finally re-bled the system and my brakes were fantastic last time without a hint of fade. And that was at my "home" track that I have probably 1000 laps at so I was pushing the car hard.
Regarding the noise - mine is a little different sounding, but definitely no thunks. Is everything torqued correctly?
Also, I notice your kit didn't upgrade the front strut mounts - I have heard that re-using the OEM mounts can often result in some unwanted noise... I did GT500 mounts in my setup and it's been completely free of any unwanted noises.
Forgot to mention mine did come with GT500 strut mounts. And thanks for the brake info as well. I'll look into all of that stuff.
I have a similar kit on my 2010 GT although I put my own together. All the same but I went with Whiteline sway bars and Whiteline panhard bar. Everything tightened up well and the differences was night and day.
Tightened up the right front strut mount bolts and it seems to be fine now. I absolutely love this suspension. Drives like a totally new car. I've still got the shocks set to three turns from full firm. Nice compromise between ride quality and performance. Might try going full firm just to see how it performs.
At "3 turns from full firm", how would you compare it to stock? Is your ride night & day stiffer or you can tell it's a little firmer than stock? Just trying to get a feel of the range of stiffness in adjustablilty...thanks.
I would say it's noticeably stiffer than stock. In turns it barely rolls over which is nice. It's got just enough compression to allow for some weight transfer and then it'll stay right there no matter how much you load it up in a turn. Nose travel is greatly reduced under acceleration and braking. And just everyday driving it's a little more bumpy than stock. But not to the point of being annoying. Still haven't messed with any adjustments yet. Where I have it set currently is perfect for the street. I personally think it's extremely better than stock how it is. Definitely a night and day difference. And I haven't even played with adjustments yet.
