New wheels on the CS

I've been torn on what color wheels to get. The CS stripes made it a difficult decision. What do you think of these?

I personally think that the general color of wheels and stripes should be similar. Otherwise a car tends to look too busy in a lot of cases.

Since the CS stripes give the appearance of fading from black to grey, either black or anthracite wheels would work. But I lean a little bit more towards black wheels on GHIG.

As far as the style of those wheels, that's a tough call for me....I'm a little turned off by wheels that require a lot of cleaning and detail attention. For that reason I'm planning on changing my wheels from the gloss black & machined aluminum split 5 spoke Boss 302's to a more simple and easier to maintain matte silver 5 spoke.

I say go with a gloss black. The trim on your car is black as are your windows. That will match up fine. The graduated rocker stripe graphic will be a nice contrast.
As for the wheel choice,..............meh. Not my first pick.

I felt the same as you two when they arrived. I was ready to send them back. I've always had black wheels on my cars. The stripe actually looks gray in person. The sun will be out today, so I'll get a better look.

I'm still not sure but guess I will keep them. The rears don't really have enough offset for me, but will go to something smaller like a 285 next time.

personally i think matching the stripe was a good choice, and the rim design it self is one of my favorites!

It will. People stare at my car all the time and I get tons of thumbs up from folks. I was skeptical at first as well but the gray rocks. Love the CS on the GHIG. When I ordered mine I decided to go as plain as possible, hence the spoiler delete option but the CS is a favorite of mine. I had an 08 CS in grabber orange. Loved that car.

They look nice. The gray goes well with the stripes. What other colors are you thinking about? I like the gloss black. Seen pics of those on GHIG. Looks good.

Thanks for all the comments. I will probably drive it in the spring like it sits. Towards fall, I may end up using matte black plastidip just to see what they look like.

Miss my GO badly!!

I think that 1st set looks great! What brand/model are those wheels? What size wheel, tire and offset are they?

I've got a GT/CS GHIG vert and I'm debating wheels too.

Thanks for the compliments. They are actually pending sale right now. I really liked them but think they needed about +5 or +8 more offset in the rear for that tire, or just a smaller tire.

They are anthracite Niche Targas, 20x8.5 (+35) and 20x10 (+40). Tires are MT Street Comp in 255/35 and 305/35. I would go with a 285 rear. They are Vogtland springs, 1.2" drop.

I have since lowered the rear almost 3/4" more, just haven't got it out to take pics.
