Rocky, the 5.2 is rated at 526 crank-hp, not rwhp (rear-wheel hp).
It puts down something around 450-460 rwhp if I remember right.
I know this Gabe, just as the 392 Challenger Scat Pack is also rated at 485 crank-hp and not rwhp.. Unfortunately I'm not quite sure what the 392 scat pack is rated at RWHP

I know the difference between the two. I drove a Challenger now for almost 8 months. I believe I understand the difference better than most. :-)

Fine ! Then just disregard my previous response altogether if you think it's so unacceptable

I just want to publicly state that if I was a little abrupt to the previous poster I apologize. I did send a PM apologizing as well. I can be very direct at times and sometimes (OK many times) people can mistake that as well being jerky. I mean nothing by it. I was just raised that way and even my wife tells me I could be more tactful.

Sorry brother. I love this community and think you're aces too!

Well my friend, I was just being sarcastic in my last response as I didn't take anything you posted as abrupt at all.. That's why I added the rolling laugh icon at the end.. Maybe you just didn't notice or overlooked it for some reason, but everything is fine on my end and once again, congrats on your new 2017 Shelby GT350

It isn't mine yet.....I'll have anxiety until papers are signed and keys are in hand but thank you. I have never tried financing a car that expensive before. My income is strong and my credit good. I'm still nervous. I'll have a payment of roughly $1,000/month. Makes me want to vomit thinking of it......LOL I just really want to have something special for my son when he's older. My 2014 was a sweet ride but it isn't a Shelby.

When I was 14, back in 1984, my father had an opportunity to purchase a 1970 Boss 302 for $3,500. It was in need of restoration but it was drivable and far from a basket case. That was as close to having something special as it's ever come for me. My Father had some nice cars but nothing highly sought after. It always irritated me that my Father never had something that cool. He would rather have 5 nice cars than one amazing car. As i digress. LOL

I'm in a position where I can swing this so I want to do something so that when I'm pushing up daisy's my son will have something special.

You have a good/steady income and excellent credit going for you, so I don't see any reason why you wouldn't get approved.. In the meantime, just think positive and before you know it, you'll be that proud new owner of a 2017 GT350

1971 Mach1 - Pewter/Black striping (full restoration)
1978 King Cobra - Black (Fun little car even if it were a Pinto, LOL)
1984 SVO - Gray - My commuter vehicle while in college
1985 1/2 SVO - Black - Full restoration
1986 SVO - Red
1970 Mach1 - White
1995 Mustang GT - Black with a vortech blower and stroked to a 347
1991 Notchback - White and the craziest build I have ever done. 331 stroker, Dart Iron Eagle Block, TFS Heads, Anderson PMS, #80 injectors, Vortech T Trim, tubular k frame, weldon fuel pump, blah blah blah (just insanely fast)
1973 Mach1 - White/black stripes (My opus, best restoration I ever did, full rotisserie restoration, and I kick myself for selling it)
2004 Mach1 - Red
2008 GT/California Special - Grabber Orange
2011 Mustang GT - Kona Blue
2014 Mustang GT - Gotta Have it Green

My point is, I certainly bleed blue oval. Albeit I have had some very very nice Mustang's. Most of the 71-73 MACh1's were all full restorations (one a rotisserie restoration and all done by me personally). I have never had a Mustang that was super special like a Roush, Saleen, Shelby, etc. My son is 8 years old and starting to really get into cars and I am getting close to 50 and if there is ever a time in my life to get finally get into something special the time is now. I want to be able to start taking my son to car shows and I want to be able to finally get something special enough that it is worthy to pass along to the little guy when he grows up. I am hoping this is it and I am hoping the deal for the Shelby goes off without a hitch. I love this Mustang community on this site. You are all terrific people. I'll never sway from Ford again guys. I will say the Apache 6.4 engine is by far the best pushrod V8 I have ever driven. Dodge is building some good engines. I truly can;t say anything bad about the car other than it corners for crap. LOL
Is that all?
Wow that is quite an impressive list! You definitely bleed blue!

Hey congrats! We are all pulling for you, and kind of living this through you. I know I will not have a shot at one of these, but would love to have one. It is scary to have a payment that big, but sounds like you have it handled. I am living vicariously through you so post pics when it happens!
