Grabbue Blue Boss 302 at Barrett-Jackson - live pictures

Sit on the showroom floor if the asking price is above MSRP. It is a different ballgame now than a few years back. The dealesr don't have the advantage as they did with during the introduction of the S197 model.
I expected the Boss' sell price at BJ's would have matched that of the first 2007 GT500, somewhere in the neighborhood of $600K.

Funny thing here is we are all talking about 1 to 5K in pricing and several people are willing to pay 400K for a different color paint job. I don't want to take away from the money going to charity but that really is beyond nuts. That car in any sense of reality is worth 20K more. I would Rather have 9 LS's or 11 Bosses for that car. Hey just seven, one for each day would be fine.
I know most of you here in this section are into newer performance cars but this kind of stuff really takes away from car collection IMO. These cars are meant to be driven, yes even the originals. What do you do with a half a million car? I drove my 70 Boss, not every day, and enjoyed it. The car looked great but it was not built to sit in a garage.
Maybe I should jump on that wagon, get a new LS paint it Grabber Green, not factory but should be worth half of the blue (200K). Then I can super glue a GPS to the dash and call it the only Boss with navigation, that should pull in another 20K, anyone else in?
Ridiculous

It is Boss-specific. The grille pattern is different than the GT. Horizontal bars in stead of the the honeycomb pattern.

I am no Ford engineer but I assume they were going after the look of the 69 race car. Look at these pictures, no lights. Of course we need the main ones for a street car. At first I thought the grille was a bit odd but I like the way it looks. The 69 had 4 headlights so it looks light they meant the two blackouts as headlights not fog lights.

No race car expert....but don't some cars have protective wire covering their lights?
What kind of look was Ford trying to reproduce with the "texturing" on the fog lights? I guess that's what kind of throws me off, I feel they were trying to reproduce some sort of look. But doing so in plastic just seems a bit cheap to me.

It would appear, based on what's been posted here and on other forums I've read, that MSRP and slightly under is more likely for the standard cars, MSRP and above for the LS. I project this for the next 6-8 months.
Ford has been quiet on production numbers and model years, possibly because of the slip of numbers from the Boss 302 book posting on Amazon. I think that quietness is to ensure the desirability factor get stretched out as much as possible.

Some dealers will try anything they can, I guess that is natural. May work for some and not so well for others. There is a dealer in Palm Beach that is trying to sell the Shelbys on eBay. The 09 for a few grand under, the 10's for a thousand under and the 11's at MSRP. They have like 13 or more. I was going to go there to sign a Boss, they wanted over MSRP. I stopped into a dealer closer to me and signed at sticker.
They are making a lot of money at MSRP but for a few extra bucks they are willing to chance losing a customer and maybe sit on the car for 2 years, then sell it for less, more power to them

When the 2011 Pace Cars were announced I inquired at a couple of local dealers. The one salesman who actually got back to me said his sales manager told him that Ford was only making a handful of those cars and they would all sell for "over $200,000". That was shortly after last year's B-J. How'd that work out for ya?

On the bottom of the screen shot poster, it appears that for 2013 only a White and dark color(black) will be on the LS. Can't wait to get my 12 Performance White with the "C" stripes.
