So, I am not the type to read the owner's manual cover to cover, three times or more. I know there are some cool track apps and some fun gadgets and gizmos on the Boss. Do you use any, which ones do you like and how do they work?


Is it too late to get the track key?

Ford is still selling the Track Key. You buy the certificate from any dealer or online. Online is around $225.00. Then have a dealer, any dealer install.

Launch control is fun to play with. I have Never used the pit lane speed control.

 

I have a tune on my Boss and know I can not install track key at this time. I was wondering if I should buy the voucher and just hang on to it. So if one day I want to install it or sell the car. I guess what I'm asking is, will track become an item that is no longer offered to the public Boss owners. Any thoughts on this??

 

I have the GT TracKey. I don't think they're likely to become unavailable.

But if they did, do you think having the voucher would help? Ford could still take the software off of IDS (for whatever reason) and the dealers would be unable to install it regardless of the voucher.

I think the most likely outcome is to keep selling it... I am guessing their whole cost is in the K&N air filter and the EPA sticker. I'd bet the software was created during the design of the car.

 

Track key tune is the best thing I have ever did.
