This is Car and Drivers guess...
The 2012 Mustang Boss 302 and 302 Laguna Seca hit dealerships sometime in 2011 at a price yet to be determined. Figure around $36,000 for the base 302 and upwards of $40,000 for the Laguna Seca. |
Did someone say the stripes are painted as well?

Starts of Base GT Interior...Changes pleat design in seats and door panels...uses GT500 handles and bezels (aluminum look)...180MPH Speedo

Okay, so my boyfriend who is Mr. Nissan above all else just told me he'd take the Laguna Seca package over a GTR, 370Z, and ISF. Ford has officially made me speechless.
I really want that car. I love the larger tires, Recaro's, rear seat delete, suspension...everything! Ford really hit this one out of the park. |

I'll take mine in Kona, with a 70's style hockey stick in silver/gray, Recaros and the 302R wheels in argent. Otherwise give me a decal delete or make a "special" Gurney schemed car like the 302R. While I'm typing up my dream sheet... Glass back and sync/nav and a rear seat delete option.
That Boss intake is just begging for a WMS style aftermarket intake....unless they make a functional shaker at some point!:stirpot: |

So no shaker, SYNC, or sat radio. That's not cool, but I think it's worth it for what you get in return.

Has anyone noticed the wheels are inspired by mini-lites?
|
Anybody seen any pics up anywhere in white? I think those will look really really good.

Wow, just wow ... incredible job FORD !!
Don't really care for the red painted roof on the LS ... white roof on the base Kona model looks ok, but would prefer without. The base black wheels look more "race car" to me ... the two-toned LS wheel look nice but seem out of place on a Boss 302 (more of a Premium Appearance Package type wheel). To me it seems Ford is going for as close to the "1969 look" as possible. Competition Orange (Calypso Corral in '69) and the rest of the colors picked fit '69 better ... where all the Grabber Colors you guys want were not available until the 1970 model year. Interestingly, the Boss 302R and other S-197 based race cars over the past few years have had more of a 1970 theme going with the stripe style, splitters on the headlights, and grabber colors. Now I just need to win the lottery, as this is the 1st S-197 based SE that I'd really like to have in my garage. Too bad Chevy's rumored / upcoming 2012 Z/28 appears to be more GT500 competition rather than back to it's original roots as a B-302 competitor. Doug |
Dude! Sweet! :nice:
