Hypothetically speaking, if I were to start saving money now and wanted to pay cash in full for the car and the deal was for sticker price, would I HYPOTHETICALLY need to save up more money than a 2011 GT500 at base sticker price? Or would I HYPOTHETICALLY need to save more than a loaded GT at sticker price, but less than a standard GT500 at sticker price?

True. If they make this another Cobra R type SE, don't think you'll be paying MSRP. It will be a collector item and they'll never be driven. I would hope Ford wouldn't do that with this kind of car, but you never know.

Yeah, that's what I figured. By asking my previous question the way I did, I was hoping for some indirect answers from anyone who might know to kind of give us clues to things like this. It appears my plan failed.

i would think in order to maximize profits on their development investment they would build roughly as many as there was demand for like the bullet. the days of a manufacturer setting qty limits on anything less than $100k+ cars are over. they need the sales. even the M cars they build to demand now.

they do actually, i have not heard of anyone who wanted one not able to get one, maybe not all in the first 6-8 months... or in the first model year. there were incentives on the 07-09 at the end of the model run becuase there were a few too many out there. i think the type of constraint that was referenced above was more like the cobra R where they made say 1200 units and that was that even if there was additional capacity and demand.
