2012-2013 Boss 302 Values

Gentlmen,

New to the forum. In the market for a 2012-2013 Boss 302 as a driver, not a collector. Where can I find current market values/sales other than Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, and Haggerty? These 3 are far below current dealer offer prices.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff- not sure exactly what you mean by current market values... i did a quick search; Autotrader has 49 B302s and Car.com has 37 B302s currently to choose from.
All (2012 & 2013) varying in colors, milage and locations.

I Believe He is Saying The Book Values He is Finding is Way Below What the Asking Prices are For The Vehicles.

Now I'm Curious!

At Carfax Quite a Price Range From 23K to 63K WOW!

AT LOCATION PUT IN UNLIMITED MILES FROM YOUR ZIP AND SORT PRICE LOW TO HIGH!

32 Cars!

FYI!

Oh And If Your Wanting The Trac-Key & They Say They Have it Make Sure It Was Activated as FRPP No Longer Supports it I'm Told! So Also Can't Be Added Anymore After The Fact!

So I'm Told!

The prices are far too subjective with specialty cars. OP, if you want a Boss really bad, expect to pay top dollar for a low mileage one owner garage kept beauty. I would pay a premium for one of those, knowing I will have a solid driver for many years with just regular maintenance. On the other hand I wouldn't even consider a 'money pit' 4 or more owner high mileage example raced and left out in the elements. What price guide can properly distinguish which is which?? NONE!
You have to examine any specific car you want and go from there, using the car price guides as a tool to help you out. We can assist too, if you provide us an actual car to look at. We will tell you, "way too much" or "good deal". Good luck with your search.

See, that right there is BS that FRPP no longer supports it and that is a deal breaker for me. Also one of the reasons some of these cars will suffer on resale because anyone in the know or a collector is going to want that key activated. I have wanted one from time to time but not until I thin down the collection a bit. I also want a first gen white Lightning but I'm getting more practical in my thinking in my older age because it's totally not a practical vehicle for me to have....I won't use it as a truck and I can't put the whole family in it so in reality it would just sit. For the Boss I'd want the Blue and white '12 or the Gotta have it green '13.

Kevin,

Thanks for clarifying what I was asking for: the disconnect between dealer asking prices (high) and prices/"values" I could find on common web sites (many thousands lower).

Had not heard that FRPP had stopped supporting Trac-Key flashes. Will likely find out this week if that holds as a Ford dealer in the Midwest has a 2013 with low miles but no current Trac-Key.

Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks NC14GT,

It is indeed a seller's market and while I would like a Boss as a summer road trip and mountain twisty driver, and am willing to pay for a solid low-mileage contestant, I want to avoid target fixation and thus overpaying based on my need for acceleration .

When the dealer gets back to me on the Trac-Key issue will post it up for Forum colleagues to judge.

Cheers,
Jeff

if it was my money, I'd question whether the price premium for the Boss is worth it for a driver, versus the regular GT

That's a good point. My '14 GT is insanely quick and any extra horsepower would be wasted unless you raced it. The Boss does look better though IMO with those 'extras'. That cool factor can be important.

I Had Further Info Through Emails. It is Not Really a Daily Driver Per Se as He Has an F-150 But More of a Weekend Corner Carver That is Not Being Purchased To Sit in a Collection and Just Be Looked At!

My motto is "Drive it! Otherwise, it's just a nice piece of furniture" .... but I get that some collectors enjoy them or want to keep them as an investment, I'm just not that guy. I need to get behind the wheel.
