This brace installs in the chassis area between the rear wheel wells behind the rear seats which effectively couples this part of the rear structure together to increase chassis rigidity.

The reduced deflection allows the rear suspension to be more effective at doing its job.

Manufactured in house from chrome moly alloy steel tubing and mild steel brackets. Powdercoated silver with a billet aluminum center cover plate for a great appearance. Bolt on or weld in installation.

Note: Requires removal or rear seats. Custom rear seat delete or Boss 302 delete panels recommended.

Product Benefits
  • 4130 Chrome Moly Design for Hardcore use also
  • Better handling for more stable cornering
  • Helps prevent and elimintate sqeaks and rattles

Whose rear seat delete kit do you recommend? Whose RSD kit are you using in the pictures above?

dly 9/23/12 07:30 AM

I'm very interested in this x brace and rear seat delete kit. Please PM me a price for a 2007 GT/California special coupe.

Thanks Darrell

We are looking into offering the rear seat delete kit. The kit above is the Ford Racing rear seat delete kit for their X-Brace. I would check with your dealership for pricing/availability.

Brandon, I received my package today. I opened it up and there is an x-brace and its black unlike the picture. I have no problem with that, actually happy and it matches well with my black double strut bar. There is NO billet faceplate cover in the box though, I do have the machined screws for the faceplate/instructions taped to the bar.. Does the billet faceplate ship separate?? thanks

Very unique piece. I wish you had something like this for 94-04 Mustangs as well!

thanks TJ, PM sent with order ID#. Always been a happy steeda customer and still am. I'll give your shop a call in the morning about the billet faceplate see if its still being made or backordered. Regardless its not gonna stop me from installing the x-brace now and as I said earlier, am happy to see it come black to match my black double strut bar.

Got mine yesterday too but only took it out of the box. I havn't unwrapped it yet to look at it. My SCCA had a karting night last night for its members or I would have probably had it installed by now. I will look tonight to compare. I'm hoping for a bright shiny finish like in the orginal picture.

I talked to Don/Steeda this morning and they will send me the billet piece asap...He claimed that it should be in the box. Hope you got yours. If you did receive the billet cover it will not be bolted on, I have the bag of hardware and it was taped to the X-brace to install it but no piece.

Darrell, unfortunately the silver x-brace was a prototype and the only two colors/finishes we are offering are: wrinkle black and bare (unfinished). You should be getting a wrinkle black.

Same thing here. Dark finish, no plate, 3 small hex screws with 4 nuts, and 2 slightly large hex screws with 1 nylock nut. I have extra nylocks and will look at work for the smaller hex screw tomorrow but I have no plate. How about just refunding the different for a black no plate brace..

Darrell

autobred 10/3/12 04:31 PM

same exact thing I asked Don this morning, whichever billet plate is in stock. He said they have a handful of both styles so I prefered the engraved one. I also asked for a tracking # once shipped
