No disrespect intended.
I do not understand.
The stock fog lamp in the upper left shows a light pattern that is low and wide as it should be to reduce reflection from fog, rain, dust, snow, etc.
The LED patterns are scattered blobs of unfocused light.

Most LEDs are intended as a cosmetic appearance upgrade, but you will get usable output from the HP and XP models. That particular picture is a bit dated and doesn't demonstrate the brightness of our newest LEDs. We will have more media available once we move into our new facility late this May.
Feel free to email us if you would like more information: contact@diodedynamics.com
Thanks!

It depends on which bulb you select. Pictured here is the XP80, which will provide the most usable light output:

Okay, I think I get it.
The LED and HID retrofit options are for "Cosmetic Appearance".
Not necessarily to enhance performance or to comply with SAE and FMVSS standards.

They are not DOT compliant products (a goal our R&D team is working on) and are not advertised as such
However, the XP LED and HID options will give you plenty of usable light output and will enhance lighting performance and appearance.
The SMD and HP models are strictly cosmetic upgrades, to get rid of the ugly halogen bulbs

Hi Nick,
Good to know.
Not sure about the "Ugly Halogen" comment.
If your R&D team is able to design LED and or HID replacement lamps that meet
SAE and FMVSS photometric specifications for any given application while producing more light output; I am in.
