"I wasn't impressed."
Ha. With a 500+ hp/400 tq flat plane crank motor (a first), magnaride shocks (a first) with necessarily upgraded brakes, better wheels, better styling etc. "I wasn't impressed." This might the rudest I get on here but if that's how you feel, start drinking fair-traded domestically harvested carbon-neutral not-animal-tested lattes and put on a black turtleneck because that's the hipster-iest thing I've read here. Everyone had to know something else was coming. The Boss had not only the LS variant but then the R/S variants. ... why would anyone expect any difference here? No hard figures, no hard numbers. Not even driven(!) but still not enough. |
CCB's are probably in the brake upgrade package. Unless Ford has found some way to reduce the cost on them I don't think I'd daily this car then there is the issue of R-compound tires as well.
I'm glad Ford went with the street car and a separate R model instead of a track only model like GM did with the Z/28. IMO GM would have been smarter to do the same with the Z since the 1LE isn't nearly the same caliber as a Z/28 would have been with a more streetable set of tires and brakes let alone dampers. |
I don't see this as ho-hum, yeah expected, but this friggin AWESOME news. Hope the R is not to much more...I sure hope to get one!!

I wouldn't count on that, as it's all going to depend on how many production models there are and how limited the production run is going to be :dunno:
