Premier Leather

Hi everyone. Looking to order a 2016 GT Premium and I had a question about the premier trim package vs the regular leather. I searched and can't figure out the difference between the two. The black interior looks pretty much the same in both, so I'm wondering what you get for the extra $350 or so.

Thanks!

I think it's more about the addition of leather or a soft-touch leather like substance on the tops of the doors and the dash. There's also different stitching on the seats. I'm not sure, but I don't believe the leather on the seats is significantly different.

Remember its called the Premier TRIM package. The focus is the trim.

A guy I work with has it in black and we compared interiors. Here is what I noted.

Seats - my interior has grey stiching his white. There is an extra strip of material on the seat bolsters. Couldn'y tell any difference in the feel of the leather.

Dash & Console Arm rest - his car has actual stiching where mine is molded in.

Steering wheel - stiching on his is white mine is black.

Door Panels - tops of mine are hard plastic his are soft touch. His has white stiching verse the grey in mine.

My take on it: It is the only way to get the red interior. If I wanted a blue, black, grey, silver or white car I would want the red interior. With a black interior I could take it or leave it.

Does the console arm rest have any additional padding in the premier trim cars?

There is one other thing, if you're getting a non-black interior. If you don't get the Premier Trim and you choose Dark Saddle or Ceramic, you still have all-black door panels. If you get Premier Trim in Red Line, you will have a red insert in the door panels. It's too bad you can't get Dark Saddle in the door panels, but I suppose Ford figures 90% of the cars are going to have an all-black interior, so why fret over the oddballs (like me) who like a little color.

Thanks a lot for all the information guys. Definitely going with the premier trim. Now if only the performance pack was offered in automatic!

Not that I noticed, just the actual stiching down the middle vs mold faux stiching
