i too am a big fan off the 335d, so i'm down with this idea. a TD mustang could rip roar and rock the living bejeezus out of the pavement,.



and get good mileage doing it

I think it's a good idea. Making the Mustang compete in the same conditions as his euro opponents should be sweeeeeeeet. But if they think of doing it to a GT500, HEEELLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

hey.. was just looking for some feedback coz i was discussing the importance of diesel performance with a few buddies of mine and they brought up very valid points. so i decided to look them up online. thanks for the thread.

Ford also has the transmissions to handle the diesel models, unlike BMW.

Edit: Can we merge these diesel threads, I'm getting cross eyed trying to remember which one I posted what in at times.

There are no diesels in F1. I suspect you're thinking of LeMans, where Audi and Peugeot have recently had great success with diesel powered cars. Though diesel engines in LeMans are allowed a maximum displacement of 5.5L compared to 4.0L for petrol. That, coupled with the existence of a minimum weight requirement, gives diesels a bit of an advantage.
